I Still Want to be your Friend Man!

Friends! Posted about these guys before but they deserve another post because they have a sweet sound. D!

BIG BLACK DELTA!

And he is BACK! I was out of the music loop for a while and what a whopping bag log of stuff I have to check out man. So being hopelessly behind I only heard BIG BLACK DELTA today. I love this track. Heavy, noisy electro with a pop song on top. Awesome!

And even better lots of free downloads from the Big Black Delta webpage. Check, check, check it out. D!

How Deep Is YOUR Love?

A new single from The Rapture emerged a while back. Watch it right here on Estupendo. Right now. It is pretty funky and estupendo shit. Do it man! Do it!

Want more? I knew you would. Well, don't fret. The whole freaking album can be streamed right here. How sweet is that!

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

I admit it... CYHSY is an acquired taste, but I have come to love them. They have a new album coming out before long and I am going to see them live in a month's time. So, guess who's clapping his hands and saying yeah. Yearhh!

Above, a new song and below, a cool song from their first album from way back in 2005.

Battlekat & Hyetal at Trailerpark Festival 2011

The last day of Trailerpark Festival has started but the festival finished for me last night. Two of my highlights were CPH based Battlekat and Hyetal from Bristol.
Battlekat have a great sound that reminds me of The Knife, Björk and other rather nice alternative electronic stuff:

And Hyetal sounds like Hyetal. Maybe this is the next evolutionary step in electronic music after Dub step and Moombahton?

Daytrotter

My good friend Sine just let me know about Daytrotter that somehow magically has missed my attention completely. The concept is brilliant! The Daytrotter studio is located on a common route for bands doing a US tour. They can stop at the studio and record 4 live tracks, they get uploaded to the website and can be downloaded for free by anyone. Everyday a new band and 4 free tracks. Beauty mate. D!

Beastie Boyz are back with a funky tune!

MAKE SOME NOISE by Beastie Boys

UPDATE! SINGLE NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD FROM iTUNES.

Crazy ass video as always at the Beastie Boys blog. The Youtube link doesn't work in DK because EMI are nobs. But I already knew that thanks to these guys:

I pray to all Gods that the Beasties will tour Europe and get close to Denmark. D!

Twin Shadow

Can't stop listening to this band. Their album is absolutely brilliant. No Ibiza-Summer-Anthem-and-Tune-of-the-Year kinda stuff, just a rock solid album that will grow on you for every listen.

If PJ should ever retire................. God forbid!

Then there's Anna Calvi. England's new great hope on the female alternative scene. She has recently released her debut album to much critical acclaim.

Got me looking so crazy...

- for you Danny!

Manel Manel Manel!

With Bonica just around the corner a bit of Catalan music seems appropriate. I really like these guys called Manel. A 100% fully certified Catalan band that likes to throw a bit of horns into the equation.

When I hear Al Mar I wish I was walking the streets of Barcelona again.

And the other week a new album was released. Same musical style and same effect (on me). I really have to go to Barcelona sometime soon.

Chris tell me am I blinded by love or is this stuff OK?

Salut i forca al canut, D!

Recharged!

After having recharged with Mrs. Bech for a while, it is time for some new music. Here's Raveonettes and their new single Recharge & Revolt from their upcoming fifth (or is it sixth?) album entitled Raven in the Grave. Pretty similar to their older stuff, which - to me - is a thumbs up!

Friendly Fires - New Album coming 16th May

Ever since seeing these guys setting the crowd on fire at Roskilde Festival in 2009 I have been a fan. Great fun fun fun party music. Excellent stuff. I highly recommend getting your hands on their first album.

But to get to the point. There's a new album coming shortly. The first track "Live those Days Tonight" has been released. Not the best Friendly Fires track ever but there is still hope. I expect a kick ass party album to be released on 16th May.

London from New York

This is Theophilus London. He has a new EP out, but I just stumbled upon one of his older tracks. It sounds familiar. Did I just forget listening to this last year?

I think the kids are in trouble...

It should be needless to explain the awesomeness of The National. Instead, let me introduce Kristen Schaal, who first made me laugh in Flight of the Conchords and now she has done it again in this funny video.

The Kills

I'm quite excited about The Kills' new album. If you haven't already checked out their old stuff, do it man! They rock!

Being Liam Gallagher

"I heard that fucking Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!'... Them writing a song about a fucking tree? Give me a fucking break! A thousand year old tree? Go fuck yourself! You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?" (from The QUIETUS)

Elbow!

Elbow released their new album today. Their previous album was super sweet and it sounds like they've done it again. Check the album preview out. D!

Moooonkey!

New stuff from the Monkeys. Pretty cool old skool sounding track. At times it reminds me of the Doors and......other stuff. Unfortunately, it's not immidiately clear from their web site when we can expect a new album from these guys. D!

It's just the way now!

Man I love this track by Wolf Gang. Unbelievably, it was a free download for a while. However, I notice that he has come to his senses and is trying to make a living here. Buy, buy, buy...

UPDATE! I stand corrected. Free download of this awesome track here at Atlantic Records.

An album entitled Suego Faults is destined for release mid 2011.

However, a rather sweet Wolf Gang cover of Radioheads Pyramid Song is available as a free download here. Check, check, check it out.
